Queensland Children's Hospital, Level 5 Retrieval Room Upgrade

South Brisbane | Medical Space

Echo Projects Co delivered upgrade works on Level 5 of Queensland Children's Hospital, including a refurbished multi-faith area, a new helicopter retrieval area, and an associated breakout space.

Working inside a live paediatric hospital brings a different order of complexity than the size of a project suggests. The retrieval area sits at the centre of the hospital's critical care function, connecting directly to helicopter operations. Every aspect of delivery, from access and induction through to noise management and infection control, was coordinated directly with CHQ's clinical and facilities teams, with works scheduled to avoid disruption to patient care.

This project reflects the standard Echo Projects Co brings to medical spaces: precise coordination, strict compliance, and the trust required to work in spaces where the margin for error is measured in patient safety, not just program.
